I discovered yoga in October of 2009 when a friend asked me to join in a workout. I had no idea that workout was yoga, and I had no idea how yoga would change my life for the better. Very quickly I noticed that my body felt better, and my mind was calmer, and I was excited to be on this yoga journey.
I found myself applying the techniques I was learning in my daily yoga practice on the soccer field as a coach and in other areas of my life. I realized I wanted to deepen my yoga practice and share it with others. After five years of personal practice in Washington state I moved back to Houston and completed my 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher training in 2015. In 2020 I completed my 500hr Advanced Yoga Teacher training with my mentor Davina Davidson.
For me, yoga is about uniting the mind, body, and breath. I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Restore, Yin, Meditation, Breath techniques, and Sculpt. My classes help to calm the mind, reduce stress and bring movements to the body that feel great. I offer detailed verbal cues and emphasize breath and plumb line alignment. Expect to explore your strengths, work on focus, and learn to find balance on and off the mat. Expect to let go. Expect to elevate your Thoughts, Feeling, Emotions, and Energy!
